SORRY TOOT! Was supposed to go gymming with her this morning, but I couldn't get off my bed :( sighhh, can feel my body slowing down.... Better get more rest so that I can be in tip-top form during all the training sessions.
Watched "Pursuit Of Happyness" today with jiawen (jianhui pangseh-ed us, don't say you don't have movie kakis ah! haha) A very inspirational movie indeed. Somehow it made me realize how fortunate I am, fortunate enough to have roof over my head and every meal provided for. While the movie has an uplifting "go for your dreams" message, the deepest theme is that of family.
Christopher Gardner (Will Smith): And it was at that time that I thought about Thomas Jefferson writing that Declaration of Independence. Him saying that we have the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. And I thought about how he knew to put the 'pursuit' in there, like no one can actually have happiness. We can only pursue it Personally, I don't really agree with what he said. Of course, "happily ever after" may not be true in all situations. However, if we want to pursue something that we love, something that we find the true meaning of life, wouldn't we have achieved this illusive "happiness"?
